Three Stars

This Rincon Center restaurant features the stellar cooking of Steven Levine. The interior has been transformed into a sophisticated, lively space that’s intimate enough for a romantic night on the town but active enough for a first date or a business dinner. – Michael Bauer

Steven Levine has taken this graveyard space and turned it into a first-rate room with a couple of bars, glassed-in kitchen and a warm, inviting vibe. A great spot for lunch or for dinner. Fun, inventive fusion cuisine that works surprisingly well, and is fairly priced. Drinks like the “cosmopolitan” are, of course, perfect, and the wine list stands out.

The Scene
Bring together the few remaining South Beach Internet babies, tourists savvy enough to venture south of Market, and the run-of-the-mill business lunch crowd, and you’ve got a very jazzy joint with the right music to boot. Inside, find an informal, slightly elevated bar section (with its own menu) and a vast dining room adorned with martini posters. All in all, a place that makes you feel hip just by walking in the door.

The Food
Though it meanders, the menu is well executed by chef Steven Levine’s kitchen team. Appetizers feature a perfect corn chowder with crab dumplings, and intriguing phyllo-wrapped shrimp with pickled beets. The seafood-heavy entree menu includes can’t-miss
seared yellowfin tuna with a red wine sauce and mashed potatoes. A dessert as good as Mrs. Levine’s chocolate cookies with vanilla ice cream leaves you strolling through quiet South Beach feeling just the way cosmopolitans should.
